For this assignment, you have been invited to make a presentation on emerging e-learning technologies to instructors who are considering teaching in the e-learning environment. Using a presentation tool of your choice, PowerPoint, address the following points:

Provide a brief overview of e-learning technologies.
Include a minimum of at least six different emerging e-learning technologies that you feel would be important to include in an online class, explaining each selected technology in detail.

Discuss how each technology can be used for teaching and learning and whether the tool is best suited for synchronous or asynchronous learning.
Describe how Learning Management Systems (LMS) are used in an e-learning course.

Provide relevant online resources as they relate to each emerging technologies you have identified.

Include one audience engagement exercise to get your participants to talk and think about an emerging technology.

Include a personal reflection of this assignment in the last slide of this presentation.

Think about the individuals that comprise your targeted audience and how your topic affects them.

Part of a successful presentation is to provide visuals that connect to the content. Be sure to incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as “speaker notes” for each slide to make this connection. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists or you may record your notes as part of your presentation. If you are using a presentation tool that does not have “speaker notes” option you can include these notes in a separate Word document or as part of an audio recording in the presentation tool you have selected.

Length: 10-12 slides/scenes, with a separate reference slide/scene at the end to provide attribution to your resources

Notes Length: 150-200 words for each slide (Include your notes in a Word document if the tool you are using does not accommodate for notes or include your notes as an audio recording.)

References: Include a minimum of five resources you used for research.

Tip: Your notes can fill the role of the speaker, giving your audience the background and details that a speaker would provide during a live presentation. If you would prefer to record audio in your presentation for your notes, please do so.

Your presentation should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your presentation should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
